Guest guest
I signed a SPOC release for Genentech as apparently the first step in getting Xolair treatment (hopefully). I don't quite see the point - basically it sounds like my private health information can be made available to any third party. Why can't the doctor just petition the insurance and if they refuse then I go to the insurance? I had no idea there would be all this hassle. How long does this all take? I'm anxious to get on with this. Wish someone would carefully explain all the detailed steps of what's ahead for me. BTW, in another thread I believe someone mentioned Singulair and side effects. I'm one of those rare ones who experiences anxiety and nightmares and racing jumping heart and increase in blood pressure. It's hard to find those symptoms as side effects of Singulair but I've definitely had them every time I've been on it over the last 6 years. Singulair helps w/controlling asthma but the sides have driven me off again. I used to get nasty upper respiratory infections from it too. That's one of the reasons I'm really hoping Xolair will relieve symptoms without side effects.
Guest guest
I was approved by my insurance first and then went through SPOC to get financial assistance with my co-pay (which was $300 before my policy changed). I also had the horrible nightmares and severe anxiety from Singulair. I think I pretty much cried continuously for a week when I first went on it. Every little think would just set me off. Each time my dr put me back on it the side effects were lessened. I can take it just fine now, although I really don't think it is helping. --------------------------------- Don't get soaked. Guest guest
Just one more question re Singulair? Does anyone know what causes these bizarre reactions? Isn't Singulair a leukotriene inhibitor that really shouldn't cause these mental and heart responses? Yet, I know only too well that it does!!!! What's happening w/Singulair? --------------------------------- Food fight? Enjoy some healthy debate in the Answers Food & Drink Q & A.
