Guest guest
Just to chime in here. #1 -- I have been fighting rashes (some hives, some little bumpy types, some just itching skin but no rash) for months - prednisone usually makes them go away and usually after a good rash outbreak I end up with a really impressive asthma attack that lasts for days. --I had my Xolair shot last Wednesday and went off prednisone on the same day. This was shot #2 for me -- I only get them once a month, 300mg. -- And yes -- I have been fighting a rash ever since -- today I am just covered in it and finally went to my asthma dr. He increased my Zyrtec, and Antarax and gave me some creme. He wants me to do a 'test' of Xolair before my next shot (not sure what he means by that....) he's also running some bloodwork since my body just gobbles up anti-histimes like candy... He also mentioned the new black box warning on Xolair and didn't seem thrilled with it. He sort of shook his head and stated how much more work it was going to be for the nurses and how he wasn't sure if the patients were going to want to do the waiting time -- but it sounds like they will be making us wait the additional time.
