Guest guest
I'm the same way, after my first two months (4 rounds of shots) the accredo/novafactor stated that blue cross hadn't YET approved my Xolair, it was still in process so they stopped sending me Xolair. The first week without the shot wasn't so bad, a little ichier, a little more sneezing, but by the 2nd week (now at the 4 wk after my last shot instead of getting them every 2 wks) i was starting to have asthma problems again. And it got worse from there, not worse than pre-Xolair, but after having what seemed like a miracle drug for me I remember just how crappy i had been feeling. I honestly hadn't really noticed the Xolair working the first two months until I wasn't on it anymore. I got to start back two months later, and it was about 4 wks before I felt relief again. I agree with you Addy, I'm content with taking this for the rest of my life so long as I can live a semi-normal one with it. Long dr. office waits after or not, I'm on it until insurance stops paying and I'm dang near homeless paying out of pocket for it.
Guest guest
My parents found out I went without Xolair for a while b/c of insurance and were furious at me. They spent so many nights up with me when I was sick as a child and so much time in doctor's offices and ERs that I think they still fear that I'll die from an asthma attack. I'm under strict instructions to tell them I need $$ for Xolair if I need $ for Xolair, but they're retired, for pete's sake. THank God for my insurance.... > > I'm the same way, after my first two months (4 rounds of shots) the accredo/novafactor stated that blue cross hadn't YET approved my Xolair, it was still in process so they stopped sending me Xolair.
