Guest guest
So this morning I received my 2nd Xolair shot (I get 2 shots - 1 time per month). The nurse was mixing the two bottles and when she went to put them in the syringe she noticed that bottle #2 never fully mixed and after some more trying they coundn't get it to mix -- so I had to wait for them to mix an additional bottle. That has got to be an expensive return to the pharmacy..... No red bumps, just a wee bit of soreness... a little achy in my upper arms. Had to use my albuterol puffer inhaler while there though.... Just a little SOB and the coughing seemed to be disturbing the other patients. I has also been the person asking about molds/fungus and Xolair/asthma. I am awaiting WAY too many tests to come back and the asthma dr wants to run another set of bloodwork on Monday, once I get off prednisone again. In the past week my asthma decided to have a mind of it's own and throw a party in my body.... And this was just as I was feeling like things were getting under control... Now I just have no energy and I getting rather tired of... as long as I sit at home, don't talk, and rest things are manageable but as soon as I attempt to live my life (aka Taxi service to my kids...) everything goes haywire. Now they want to run tests on my adrenal glands (seems my body likes the prednisone) and EOS #'s -- it's gotten to be a joke that my body becomes adjusted to whatever antihistimine they put me on with a few weeks.... and then I break out in hives again. I think they are playing the check the auto-immune system game without worrying the patient. The asthma as a symptom of a greater problem is something I could do without. And email me offline but I was wondering what is the case when my asthma actually gets worse in the late afternoons/early evenings. I know a lot of you have the worst in the morning.... Is this a clue I am missing here? Without my second dose of Advair at 3pm I can hardly make it through the evening. Maybe I am just most tired by then.... sd
