I have had asthma almost all my life, This past summer I was knocked down by a wave twice and panicked causing the worst attack of my life. I was at Myrtle Beach and motioned for my daughter to run get my inhaler, used two puffs and nothing helped. someone came towards me asking if I was alright of course I wasn't. I woke up the next day with no memory of the rest thank GOD! I was taken off the beach and was given mouth to mouth until the ambulance got there. I was intobated for the first time in my life how horrible, but it was good to be a live!!! I am 49 years old and have finally been told I am COPD along with the asthma, yes like a fool I did smoke! I am paying the price now! I was on Xolair for a year then in November my Insurance Company decided to take my shots away from to see how I will do, I am furious had sent a letter of appeal to no avail. Kaiser doesn't care. Well I'll go back to all the reading Ive been doing since finding this site, Thanks to all who are sharing your thoughts!
