I NEVER neb or use an inhaler unless it has been 4 since my last use. With so many health problems you really need to have a good talk with your doctor. Everyone's asthma symptoms are similar but very different. Doug
Guest guest
To answer this question I would have to say that it is three times a day. And if I have problems inbetween I use my inhaler. This is a plan that I set up with my pulmonologist who I see every month or two weeks when there is too much change of weather. I am just so worried about over using them and becoming dependent (see I told you I was new to this. I just keep waiting for my body to become stronger and not need these things. I also have issues about high blood pressure and a racing heart (110-120 resting) so I really try not to use it (I know -- bad patient, no candy....) ps -- whoever recommended that book about the 14 super foods -- THANKS! I have enjoyed reading it and am trying to follow it's advice. --------------------------------- Finding fabulous fares is fun. Guest guest
Thank-you for all your kind responses to my neb questions. I actually went to the dr on Friday and found out when to neb and YES I was underusing it. I am suppose to be using it 6-8 times a day. (what joy --- read sarcasm here....) I also found out that something that I considered to be a nuisance was actually a severe lack of breath... This is me in denile of the asthma diagnosis again.... and the concept that it is severe persistant just freaks me out! Dr is hoping the Xolair will kick in very soon -- since a sinus infection kicked my butt this week. He put me on a med to surpress my coughing (since it is a dry cough) and it showed me how tremendously short of breath I am... I think he did this to prove a point. But as a supermom... it's a hard point to take. I really appreciate the fact that although this is a Xolair group we can also ask some other questions and get help. Guest guest
We are glad you found us! I was pretty desperate before I found this group (about a day after Doug started it, or something like that), b/c despite the fact that there are so many Severe Persistents out there (add SP to the code words, please ), I didn't know any until I found this group, especially Allergic SPs. (ASPs!!!!!). Hang in there, and let us know how you are doing, Addy Trying to avoid another severe sinus infection AGAIN. My allergic circles were black and sunken in this morning.
