Guest guest
Bethany, this happened to us last week...the answer i was given was to stop the round. So that's what we did. We just waited and started back up again when it was time for the next round. How is your son doing? Seeing some good results? Thanks Sharon
Guest guest
If you are following Andy's protocol and you miss a dose you need to stop that round of chelation or you will make things worse. The following is from his index: /message/1247 (Chelating in the day, skipping the night, chelating the next day, etc. will make your kid really really really sick. Once you stop, you have to stop for several days. Any break of more than 3 or 4 hours between doses counts as stopping. Guest guest
Hello Bethany: This is my understanding thus far from reading this board. I am currently chelating my oldest son (adhd 10 yr old) and myself (don't need to mention my age or maladies ; )). If you are using the 4 hr protocol for DMSA if you miss it by more than 15 minutes or so, maybe a half hour at the most then you would stop chelating wait the 4 or 11 days off and start again. This would ensure a minimal amount of redistribution of the mercury. Doing this will give you the most peace of mind even though you are giving up the rest of an on weekend. In my personal experience I've done both. I've stopped when I missed a dose and I've also continued when I've missed a dose by more than an hour. Either way my son and I have not experienced any extra difficulties. We, however, do not have the many issues that many parents on this board have to deal with because their children are much more toxic. For us we may be able to get away with it. I would suggest that whatever decision that you make that you keep good notes of the circumstances and the next few days so that you can refer back to them if this happens again. I also found that getting a watch, to wear on my wrist, helps me to keep on top of dosing. It has an alarm that will go off every five minutes until I turn it off. That has made all the difference in the world. In Christ's love and mine...Jen : ) On Mon, 25 Mar 2002 09:04:15 -0600 " Bethany Reirdon " <bareirdon@...> writes: I have been following the post on this board for a couple of months. Guest guest
Thank you, Pat. This is particularly an issue for me, b/c I live in an area with lots of damp and I have HUGE mold allergies, so I know that if we have a hurricane or something my IgE for molds will just skyrocket. My doc decided to experiment last fall with putting me on a slightly lower dose of Xolair and it was a nightmare for me when I got in trouble with some mold exposure at work. Then it was a hassle getting them to start sending the extra vial again. Addy Duke women's b-ball in sweet 16!!!! > > Dear group, > > If you self inject and miss your day, give yourself the injection the day you remember. Reason: Xolair binds the free floating IGE in your system. You continually build IGE by being exposed to your allergens. Therefore waiting the 2weeks for an injection does not make sense. You would have built up more IGE and could possibly have a reaction to your allergens and an asthma exacerbation (worsening). Remember that all " nurses " in your doctors offices are not really Registered Nurses. If they can't describe the mechanism of action, the reason for the mixing technique etc... I'd call Xpansions and speak to a Registered Nurse who knows all about Xolair. > > If you get your injections in the doctors office and miss your day, reschedule for as soon as they can get you in. Many of you will not have a problem, but a few of you might live in an area where you have several allergens and build IGE quickly, I'd hate to hear of an asthma exacerbation because someone not as intelligent as you are gave you incorrect information. > > My 2 cents. > > Pat > > > --------------------------------- > 8:00? 8:25? 8:40?
