If you are in the US, then go to Orchard Supply.

They have the half gallon canning jars that have been

used for a long time. I use them for a lot of storage,

of anything that might be eaten by bugs. And the

tight lids will keep things fresh for a long time, plus,

a strong point for me, is the fact that you can always

find new lids for them. They come in regular and wide

mouth. A lot of other stores' clerks have told me with

a straight face that they are not made any more, and

I'd better look at the quarts and pints they sell.

I apologize for tonight I cannot find my url's for the different

brands of jars and will look later this week again for them, for you

if you want them.
