Well I don't know what the count has been in here in SE PA the last

few days but the area was listed on Pollen.com as one of the worst

in the nation. Sent me running for a course of Predisone despite

being on Xoliar.

On top of that I suddenly realize that beautiful maple tree nestled

against our house is upstream of the prevailing winds and I see it's

covered in buds which means --- I've been unwittingly living in a

toxic plume of maple tree pollen.

How much of that fine pollen has seeped through the cracks around my

windows into my sterile room which happens to be exposed directly to

the plume?? Plenty I'll bet. I woke up a wreck two days ago just

as that tree burst into buds. And as soon as the Predisone starts

wearing off I start turning right back into a wreck.

And was I ever stupid to open wide the windows on that first warm

day. Thought it would be great to air the house out.

And now I've got a serious de-contamination project to undertake in

my home. Unless, heh, the dust mites and molds will feed on the

pollen.

My chain saw is gonna be real busy before next spring, you can be

sure.

Ooh. I would hate to cut down the trees because of

pollen. I have woods behind my house. Everything on

the deck is a nice yellow/green right now. Actually so

are the cars, the front porch and the..... well

everything! I learned right after I moved to Georgia

12 years ago that you can't open windows in the spring

time.

No you don't cut down the trees just watch when you go outside. Or wear a mask.

The trees in Chicago are not in bloom but will soon be I dont have as much

problem outside as I doo with the flowers that everyone decides to bring inside.

Good luck,
