Also, you can search the messages for posts by some of the parents in the group. We have a handful whose children no longer have to live in the " bubble, " that most of us have lived in all of our lives. I LOVE XOLAIR. It's changed my life. Guest guest
Hello, My son was 11 years old when he first received Xolair because his life depended on it. He is now 15 and living a normal life. graysaunt <graysaunt@...> wrote: My nephew is a severe asthmatic. 30 days of missed school already this year. His doc has just recommended Xolair. Also, I'm wondering what knowledge anyone has about the malignancy/cancer that is reportedly associated with the use of Xolair? I understand that is a small risk - even smaller than the anaph. Guest guest
Hi My daughter will be twelve next month and we just got onto Xolair this year, she is 'off-label' and wasn't allowed to start until she was exactly 11 and 9 months. She is doing well with only one bad episode required Pred and three days off school which was unusual for her anyway. We are reducing her Q-Var right now and she is not coughing at all and can run! She exercises without inhalers and is very energetic. So far I think I can definately recommend it for kids, she doesn't even complain about the shots every month.
