Guest guest
I know at least a handful of us suffer from what I call severe allergic sinus disease - chronic inflammation and recurrent sinus infections which repeatedly show up as normal under CT scans and xrays, meaning no fungus, contrary to the Mayo clinic announcement that most recurrent sinusitis is fungal. I would be interested in having a chat about this. Anyone else? We could agree on a day and time in advance. Addy Group co-owner
Guest guest
I have chronic recurring (never really goes away) sinusitis. It's shown up on 2 cat scans and 1 mri. Never had any one say it was fungus, though. I tried inhaling, using an adapter with my nebulizer (bought for asthma) a concoction of an anti-fungal and antibiotic and steroid but it actually triggered asthma attacks, caused a lot of mucous and caused me to temporarily lose my voice. Antibiotics do help but pseudoephedrine is also important - every day!!! Funny, doctors look in my nose and say there's nothing there but on images it really does show up. Drives me crazy - so frustrating! I'm hoping xolair will help w/that too. So, yes, I'd like to chat or email occasionally. I'm working too so time is limited. Thanks! --------------------------------- Food fight? Enjoy some healthy debate in the Answers Food & Drink Q & A.
