Guest guest
in response to Terry's post, I changed jobs and was wtihout insurance in 2005 for the requisite 62 days, so when I was eligible to join my husband's insurance plan, my asthma was considered pre-existing. I had started hoarding my Xolair when I decided to leave my job (well before I gave notice) by giving myself my shots every three weeks instead of every two, but getting my refills on schedule. I ended up at the end being without xolair for 4 or 5 months, I can't remember. What happened with me was that I saw a gradual increase in symptoms, starting with my allergic rhinitis increasing in frequency and severity, then the allergic headaches and t hen the asthma. It was awful. I am content to live with Xolair the rest of my life, although I'll bet in another 10 years the next best thing will be ready. We'll see.
