Guest guest
The heavy tree pollen here is making me sneeze, cough, sniffle and have welts on my legs not to mention more difficulty breathing, thick mucous and I haven't even started xolair shots yet! Since my thighs are often the site of welts for unknown reasons it will be interesting when and if I ever start injecting! Xolair is completely different than immunotherapy which doesn't work for allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis anyway. One doctor told me Xolair couldn't cause an allergic reaction because it's not a drug but he obviously was wrong from what I'm reading here and elsewhere! My doctor's office does not have a xolair clinic - they have requested a home nurse for me but SPOC and CuraScript keep dragging their feet and giving out misinformation to their subcontractors. Genentech has a salesman who tried to tell me I would have to go to a hospital outpatient facility or a different doctor ... I will NOT. This has been dragging on since the middle of Jan. I have the med but am not supposed to inject w/o a nurse. If they don't get someone for me in about 2 weeks or so I'll just inject at home alone w/o a nurse. I am totally disgusted with the jerking around I'm getting from SPOC, Genentech and Curascript - even my doctor's office is shocked. The salesman was looking out for the company's comfort level but not mine.
