Guest guest Posted February 28, 2007 Report Share Posted February 28, 2007 I have wondered if xolair helps food allergies, now I know.I have always been allergic to eggs, especially egg whites. Last night my daughter was making an angel food cake from one of those " just add water " mixes. The mix aerosoled when she used the mixer and got in the vent. system. I could " taste " it from the next room. I had to use my emergency inhalor(several times) and a good dose of benedryl but my throat didn't swell shut and I kept breathing. Last time I had an exposure to mixes it was much more severe. I was also a week late on my xolair shots, I got them this morning. Even with that the reaction was much milder than in the past.
