Guest guest
My wife insists on putting nuts, seeds and some other things in the freezer. When she does this, I eat them and they taste bad. I can only describe it as a " refrigerator taste " or like something was left in the fridge uncovered for awhile. I don't know if it is spoiled or microbes but they taste bad. I prefer nuts to be left sealed at room temp. Are there any comments on this? Thanks GB
Guest guest
I notice that it is easy to forget to clean out a freezer sometimes, washing walls and so on. This can also lead to a build up of 'old smelling ' ice. Some old food can hide somewhere and taint other food. The freezer will surely affect protein structure, as it does with meat ( never as good when frozen) so I prefer to buy nuts in small batches.
