If you are this worried, go to your ER or call your doctor.

Did you test for chinese hamster before taking the xolair?

I always take zyrtec before my shot but still my reaction is itchiness on either

my forearms or on it begins on my head and then progesses to my feet. Then it

dissipates rapidly. I think it is the histadine.

Thanks for the replies. I did not test for chinese hamster I don't

think. Also it's been 24 hours since my shot and it's just a local

reaction I don't think going to the ER is necessary but I will try to

call the doctors office on Monday. Although by then the reaction

should be gone I hope.

I do worry bout it because I had an anaphylactic reaction to my

allergy shots, while i know the chances are sooo much slimmer with

Xolair than with those it still worries me. I did ask the nurse when

she gave it to me if it was normal and she said she assumes so even

though she's never seen it happen before.

I do wait 30 mins after each shot and all so theyre careful but I'm

one of those people who have delayed reactions. The swelling and all

usually doesn't show for atleast an hour or so.
