frozen beets and kvass

HI All

I may have made a discovery. Tried to make kvass with my garden beets

that had been harvested late and previously frozen and all 20 quarts

were flat with no life in them. Can frozen veges ferment?

Sure. Anything ferments! But in this case you might

need some starter. Juice from the last batch, some

kefir juice ...
