Guest guest
FYI aspirin is in the class of drugs known as non steroidal antianflammatory drugs. never take those. keep your room as clean as you can and get a good room filter. if you can't exercise start out by wiggling your toes and fingers to keep circulation going. there is ALWAYS HOPE and I am praying for you. Guest guest
Hi, Thank you so much for responding to my posting. I haven't given up hope, but not feeling good at all. How long do you think it takes before you know if Xolair is helping or not? Today don't know if I am getting a cold or not. Coughing all night and day. Maybe neubulizer or call the dr and receive another series of prednizone. I am doing my peak flow to see if zolair improves it. Not yet it is at 250. My IGE is in the thousands. --- jane mosher <janeannmosher@...> wrote: > FYI aspirin is in the class of drugs known as non > steroidal antianflammatory drugs. never take those. > > keep your room as clean as you can and get a good > room filter. > if you can't exercise start out by wiggling your > toes and fingers to keep circulation going. > there is ALWAYS HOPE and I am praying for you. > Jane > > <filli474@...> wrote: > > > > > Started xolair two days ago. Guest guest
Hi, I don't know what your doctor told you, but Xolair can take up to several months to start working. We've had about 1/3 of the folks posting here see improvement within three months (and 2 or 3 people saw improvement within three weeks). Another third (more or less) took around 4-6 months to see improvement and the rest as much as a year. Hang in there. We've all been miserable. This is the group that sets the standard in feeling miserable. You are not alone. Addy Group Co-owner > > > > > > Started xolair two days ago. After 6 more months went by, I got that relief. Now, I have been on xolair since September 2003. It is VERY RARE that I ever have to use Prednisone anymore. I used to be on 40 mg of the evil stuff every day. Give it time! Trust your doctor! Doug Group Founder Co-owner-moderator
Guest guest
I had the opposite experience. I wasn't seeing a difference after 6 months so my dr refused to keep me on it. I told him that I had read about lots of people that didn't see results until after a year but he wouldn't listen. So I am still steroid dependent and he doesn't think I will ever be able to go below 40 a day. I really can't stand him, but I don't have other choices so I have to keep seeing him every month. Bummer. Getting a 2nd opinion is always an option. If both doctors say the same thing, then you will know for sure. Doug
