Guest guest
On Jan. 16th my physician and I decided I should try Xolair. On the 18th or 19th I faxed the signed SPOC form back. Absolutely nothing happened until Mon. the 29th when I contacted the doctor re my frustrations with SPOC and their non-response. The doctor's office gave me the 800 number which I called. The case worker said she would get back in touch with me. This morning, the 30th, someone called. I returned the call but was told that my case worker is out for the day. The person I talked to was trying to read the notes and informed me that they have to have the IgE count and insurance information. RUBBISH! They have all that - and I have it too and can give it to them AGAIN. They just aren't processing the information. I'm no little bit upset with SPOC. My husband has MS and has been on a different type of monoclonal type drug and it was with a very low co-pay and no hassles. SPOC needs to improve on their efficiency. My breathing is getting worse. Is Xolair an orphan drug? In reading about one of my conditions - allergic bronchopulmonary aspergilliosis I noticed that it was considered in several places to be a rare disease. The only treatment is steroids. Anti-fungal drugs do not work well. I have allergies to many other common things in the air and on land too. I've also been diagnosed with asthma and COPD even though I've never smoked. I'm quite disappointed in the way this is all being handled.
