Guest guest
After reading the qualifications and exceptions in the Xolair clinical trials, it looks like I may not qualify. Can I start Xolair without being in a trial? I am about the approach my physician about using Xolair as my asthma is not under control and I have to resort to pednisone about every month. I am extremely allergic to many things as shown by my testing. Seems like I am allergic to " green " , meaning everything outdoors. One trip to a green house with flowers, resulted in my being on the vent for 12 hours after my lungs decided they were too tired to breathe. My FEV1 is not high enough to qualify for the studies, and I also have comorbid illnesses. Should I try to get on Xolair, or will I not be allowed? Who determines the elegibility? Thank you.
