Guest guest
Hello all, I have been asked to repost these ideas/recipes for Seaweed Kraut. Basically I added a whole load of Palm Frond seaweed to a basic carrot Kraut I made and the result was so WOW !! AMAZING !! The original recipe: Carrot Seaweed Garlic Red onion Mustard seed. Grate, cut , add salt, and extra salt/water brine if needed. Better the longer you let it ferment, but was ready in one week!! You could of course do a mostly seaweed Kraut too. I would suggest 'softer' seaweeds, like palm frond, unprocessed Nori(not sushi sheets). If you think of it seaweed is a ferment in it's natural environment, swimming around in the sea/salt water brine! Hope this helps & enjoy, I sure am !!
