I don't live anywhere near NY or I would share. I got my milk kefir grains from

posting a wanted add on Freecycle. I got a scoby and milk kefir grains that way.

Many people are looking to share and that is a good way to get some.

my own Milk Kefir but in need of some grains. I don't dare buy commercial

without knowing what I'm getting. I live in the NY state area if it matters.

Thank you.

Because I couldn't find any in my home town, I was satisfied to get some semi

dehydrated grains shipped easily to me by mail from a 1000 miles away. I found

this source through torontoadvisors.com.

Good luck!

There is a kefir group called that lists people who give

away grains. Check Craigslist and freecycle as well. Otherwise, find a local

Weston A. Price leader and contact them. They will probably know where to find

some grains.

Hope this helps.

Well, since no one else hopped on board ... I can send some. Mine are

kefiili, which means they make a thick, yogurty cream, which is spoonable

but not drinkable. Tastes good though. It needs to be kept cool (during the

summer I put the jar in a pan of water, which works fine). They seem to ship

ok if they don't get caught in customs, so 3-day air works (which costs $5

if I use minimal packing). Contact me privately with your address.

I have extra regular milk kefir grains, but I am in Hawaii. I would

actually suggest ordering them from a place out of Michigan as they'll get

there much faster - Yemoos Nourishing Cultures:

http://www.yemoos.com/mainmilkkefir.html They are a homesteading family

that sells their extra grains for cheap and they are very high quality. I

got mine from them to start and they've been thriving ever since in raw cow

milk.
