Guest guest
I wish you well . In Ca you can not train inside of a pharmacy or hospital unless you have either passed the PTCB and have a registration already OR you are a student in a state approved program and are an extern on externship, sometimes called internship. I do wish you well. Jeanetta palmcanyon111 <palmcanyon111@...> wrote: HELLO I FOUND YOUR SITE WHILE SEARCHING FOR INFORMATION ON PTCB MATERIALS. I THINK IT CAME UP ON EITHER A OR GOOGLE SEARCH. Guest guest
Hi Annie, I have never had a radio nerve procedure, but have heard they work very well on some people. The most important indicator as to if it would work for you is if the ESI, facet joint block, or SI joint block worked well; which yours did so this might be something you want to consider. They essentially burn the end of the nerve root, which stops the pain coming from the area. The recovery period is longer and more painful then with the ESI's but it can take as long as 18 months for the nerve to grow back, so the relief is much longer. For some people after the nerve regenerates they get the same pain back and others remain pain free. Another member had responded to you saying that ESI's can become more effective for longer periods if you get up to 3 and this is very true. The only time another ESI is not indicated is if you had no relief or some nasty side effects. Hope your weekend is going well! Hugs, > > HI , > Gosh, thank you for that plethora of information-- it helps me sort out all the stuff-- both what the PT tells me, what I have read, and now accounts coming from the group--- which is the better of the others.-- I have not had any follow up with the ortho spine Dr--- But Smokie tells me about a radio nerve block, did you ever have any of those? I can have three more epi's and then onto that, I guess. > Take care and it seems that is working again. > > Annie > > > >
Guest guest
Hello Miss and thank you for the prompt reply-- and for the well wishes-- Florida is under a Spring deluge for the last three days and I feel like a half Noah out here in the lush tropical woods. There are all the colors of green in the crayola box here. So,once they exhaust the epidurals then the Dr orders a radio frequency block? How long is the time between each epidural? Another worry, why would you feel the nerve being " hit " If you are numb? Gosh I don't know if I would want to even try that procedure--- Thank you again, Have a blessed week. Guest guest
Hi, I underwent the surgery July 2002. & nbsp; There was no intubation and no complications. & nbsp; I'm very happy with my surgery. & nbsp; I was in fit condition before the surgery, and therefore, flexible. & nbsp; My curvitures went from 65/75 to something like 22/35. & nbsp; I have no pain, but I walked stiffed legged. & nbsp; & nbsp; NOTE TO ALL: & nbsp; Then, I learned I have Charcot Marie Tooth disease and scoli is involved with CMT in 28% of patients. & nbsp; So, I'm VERY grateful for the great outcome from the scoli surgery, I'm dealing with a bigger bear now. & nbsp; I've been in a wheelchair because the nerves in my feet and bottom legs, hands and lower have died due to CMT and they are weak and numb and I've lost muscle in those areas because the muscles didn't get the nerve stimuli they needed to & nbsp;thrive. & nbsp; My scoli gait (the way I walked) was partly because of the surgery and mostly part of my CMT, which I didn't know about until March 2008. & nbsp; I've progressed into the wheelchair, but now I'm in physical therapy and when the tendonitis in my groin, and sore thigh, pelvic, and hip muscles get back strength, I'll have to learn how to walk again. & nbsp; So, PLEASE LISTEN TO ME, all of you! & nbsp; Scoli and CMT go hand in hand 28% of the time. & nbsp; Get tested for CMT! & nbsp; Fyfer From: Leger & lt;legerpj@... & gt; Subject: FW: Thank you Date: Thursday, June 12, 2008, 7:14 AM RE: Thank you Thank you, Gail and Patti, for your kind thoughts about 's situation. Guest guest
Sorry didn't see this email before responding earlier. I would check out www.arthritis.org <http://www.arthritis.org/> for some good info. Plus various medical websites, like webmd, have some info as well. If your son is diagnosed with a particular type of JRA, there are various websites that may help. For example, my son was diagnosed with spondylitis and there is a website called www.spondylitis.org <http://www.spondylitis.org/> There is also a website for uveitis (not sure of that one). That brings up the point, if your son is diagnosed with JRA, he should have his eyes examined as there is a form of the disease that can affect the eyes, unfortunately. As to books, there is one lots of folks on the list recommend, " It's not just growing pains " by a Dr Lehman. I am sure someone who knows more about that can post the info. I have found a lot of my info here on the list, from the medical posts Georgina makes and from other people's experiences. Hope this helps, Michele ( 21, spondy) ________________________________ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Sent: Monday, October 13, 2008 8:53 AM Subject: Thank you Thank you to everyone who responded to my Waiting Message. Guest guest
Hi Dano, Good luck with your procedure. Going back a 2nd time is like going back and seeing old friends. I went with a friends when she had sleeve surgery and I loved being able to go back. I was a guest the 2nd time I was there and it was nice being able to go talk to some of the patients and answer some of their questions. You are right only tell the people you want, and then they will be very supportive of you. Guest guest
hi Lilli, I am seeing specialist about my chronic back/hip/leg pain next Thursday in Roseburg, Oregon. I have several serious problems creating a lot of chronic pain in my lower back and hips including a 1/2 inch Synovial Cyst on my L4-5. I am also curious of your diagnosis before surgery if you don't mind sharing. I am so happy to hear you feel better, that is terrific! I sure hope I can say the same as I do expect some sort of hopefully just minor invasive surgery sometime in the somewhat near future. I have never been cut upon, am a 46yo female and scared to death of some one cutting into me especially those sensitive nerves in my back. I have Degenerative Disk Disease, slippage at L4-5 (seems that when the disk slipped the synovial fluid leaked out a bit and formed a cyst? maybe?). I also have arthritis, sciatica especially on my left side, scoliosis, depression (from pain and lack of feeling normal anymore, can't do much if very little) and I forget what else. My left leg is tingly every day now, that is from sciatica from what I understand. How do they do fusion, what did they use and again, if you don't mind me asking, what was your diagnosis before surgery? I sure hope I am as lucky as you seem to be. I am thrilled you are feeling better, you give me hope that I too will feel better! ) Thank you and hugs, Coleen ________________________________ From: IAMTHEKEY() <shiningeyes3@...> spinal problems Sent: Thursday, August 6, 2009 7:18:38 AM Subject: Re: Thank you I am glad to hear you are doing well. Guest guest
, I agree with you about this site and all the people on it. I am not sure how I would get on with out the support and wisdom I gain from all of the members of this site. I have not met anyone personally that currently posts on this site but a couple of years ago I was able to meet two families and it was so neat to connect. I also feel like this is a very special arm of my family. I agree with you about Maggie. I have not met her but do know that she is an amazing young lady. I keep hoping that one of these years I will be able to take Jaye to the conference and meet people. I tried to plan to go the last two years but it just has not worked out. I take all of my sick days and many of my PTO to take Jaye to her appointments. Although we do not travel as far as you do we still have to take a full day for the appt and we often get two appts in the same day. I also would do whatever it takes to get Jaye to the doctor that she needs to see. I am so very thankful that we are happy with the rheumy she now sees. I pray that things will work well for you and with Dr. Hong. I think that Dr. Hong is an amazing doctor and I am glad that you were able to get in with her. Although I am sure you knew she was an awesome doctor when you got the reccomendation from Maggie. Veri & Jaye 15 poly Thank you I just wanted to than everyone on the group for you support of and I over the last few years. There has been so much support for us here. We have had the honor of meeting several here in person and they have a very special place in my heart. Many on this group have become a part of our family. I could go on and on about the ones that we have met. If you ever have a chance to meet anyone here I doubt you would regret it. The only one I will single out is a little girl who has made a huge inpression on me that is an inspration to anyone who knows her. Maggie.Like I say from time to time when I grow up I want to be hockey tough like Maggie. But to all of you I want you to know you rock. Guest guest
: I have said many times how much this group means to me. 's path has been very similar to Hannah's and I don't know how I would have gotten through it without this group.  You and  have been wonderful to get to know. I consider you both our friends.  And I agree, getting to meet friends from the group is awesome. Can't wait to meet you and As one day!!  Beth " We can't direct the wind, but we can adjust our sails " -author unknown ________________________________ From: <amandaharris125@...> Sent: Tue, November 3, 2009 5:34:51 PM Subject: Thank you  I just wanted to than everyone on the group for you support of and I over the last few years.
