But each kefir colony is a little different, and yours might have gotten hold of something that you don't like. You might try stirring the kefir a couple times a day (a great general way to avoid moldy things on top), giving it more (or less) air, changing the temp (putting the kefir jar in a bath of water will change the ferment a lot).
