Guest guest
My daughter will be starting shots this month, I have been very anxious about it and reading the messages from this group has sooothed Some of my worries. I have had conflicting advice from various sources and it is great to read such positive results from actual users who are not being paid by the pharmaceutical companies! We had a little trouble getting it approved but it looks like it will be OK for 6 months. She is aprehensive but is hopeful it will improve her soccer game and her swimming times! I will be happy just to cut out some of her other meds.
Guest guest
Hello My name is Lin. My son is on xolair. he has been on it now for 1year an half now. We were very anxious when the dr. told us about it for the first time as well. my son is the one to always try things when they first come out, the dr calls us up and says theres something new for you to try, would you like to try and see if it will help you. we was pretty worried about if it would even help at all considering nothing else has helped or worked. Just run to the hospital and stay for the a while each time he gets a flare up. You will see the difference in a couple weeks after your daughter starts taking the shots. IM NOT A DR. OR A NURSE BUT I CAN GIVE YOU SOME ADVICE ON IT. PLEASE ADVISE YOUR DR. OR NURSE ON ANY MEDICAL ADVICE.... it does take some time to get the body adjusted to the medicine so dont give up on it right away if you dont see it working soon.. Also we dont get paid by the pharmaceutical company to take it either. Our dr. put a letter in for medical necessity for him to have it. our insurance company is payin for it for him. yes i can say its very hard to get approved to.. Its very expensive as well. Yes the shots will improve her game and swimming. My son was able to play football for the first time with the shots. He to was aprehensive of takin it but he said to the dr. if this can make me feel better then being in the hospital all the time then ill try it. My son still has to take his other meds as well. he wasnt able to cut any of his. the only good thing was that. he was able to cut his steroids down alot.... but dont forget. every patient that takes the shots is different... they react different to the shots tooo.. hopefully your daughter will have a good turn out when she starts taking the xolair... GOD BLESS AND MAY YOU HAVE AN ASTHMA FREE DAY.
