Guest guest Posted February 8, 2007 Report Share Posted February 8, 2007 Has anyone had relatively upleasant reaction to first treatment (2-1/2 doses)of Xolair? The morning after my first treatment, I had total blocking of my nasal passages, tremendous pressure all around that area, wheezing, sore and swollen throat, difficulty swallowing and labored breathing. Was sent to emergency at hosp. where I received injection of 120 mg of prednisone and 50mg of benadryl. Prednisone injection felt like someone shot me in the arm with a gun and is still sore 12 hrs.later but it seems to be doing the job. Has anyone else had a reaction like this, and if so, was it just a first-time anomaly, or did it cause discontinuance of the program? I'm currently waiting for doc to get back to me re the reaction.
