Guest guest
Well my daughter had her first two shots 10 days ago to no il effect that we can see and her Excema(?sp) has started to clear up a blessed side effect. We are looking to reduce her inhaled steroid in two months but she says she already feels better! Maybe wishful thinking on her part but who knows! Guest guest
I can readily identify with how you feel. Our lives were like that for five years before my asthma began to be controlled somewhat. That was twenty years ago--long before xolair. Over the years the asthma has done damage to my lungs and I was on prednisone and antibiotics at least twice a year, sometimes three times a year. I am still on maintenance medicines, but I have not had to be on prednisone or an antibiotic for two years now. The last time was in January 2006. I started xolair in August 2006 and the improvement has been gradual, but noticeable. I have more days when I actually feel like getting some things done around my house, than days when I don't have much energy. The main thing is I have not had a severe asthma attack because of a sinus infection. God bless as you start your xolair shots. I will still have to take asthma meds for the rest of my life, but that is okay as long as I don't have to have pred. or antibiotics! By the way--my children and my husband learned to understand and with the meds I was at least able to keep working and go to see my son play basketball and my daughter cheer and play volleyball. My husband has learned what he can do to help me and he does these things now without my having to ask--like vacuum! I know I am very blessed.
