I LOS T weight) as I slowly went from 40 mg daily of Prednisione (Evil Candy) to NONE! hmmmmmmmm I wonder if this was the cause? Guest guest Posted April 5, 2007 Report Share Posted April 5, 2007 I got my 9th shot yesterday--have had no severe side effects from the shot. A little soreness in my upper arms for a few days, and the sleepiness that day and the next day. However, today I slept in (the first time I've been able to do that in a while) and the extra hour felt good. I have energy today! The other news for me is that I now have an epi-pen! Hope I never need it, but I'll carry one with me and keep one here at home! I only have to wait 30 minutes if I have my epi-pen with me. And I am to make sure I have it with me for 24 hours. Weight gain? I have worked to get off the weight I gained 15 years ago on the pred--I'll lose some and then I am beginning to think I may be a " stress " eater!
