My allergist said no to my request for a xolair increase because: (1)

Medicare would probably not pay for something that is not officially

recommended by Xolair and (2) There are some unknowns about xolair

since it hasn't been used very long. He prescribed another inhaled

steroid (QVAR) to be added to my regular Pulmicort dose when I have

asthma flares. Hopefully, this will help. Anything will be better than

the prednisone.
