To the best of my knowledge, Benedryl is the only antihistamine I'm allowed to have due to the gastric bypass, and on an emergency basis only. I have to get IV Benedryl before each iron infusion. They did administer it at the hospital that one time we discovered the adhesive burn, but I don't remember it bringing much relief. Like any allergy, I suppose being exposed to adhesive repeatedly is what brought it on in the first place. I had multiple surgeries that particular year which required more bandaging than normal. Avinza is an extended release Morphine capsule used for moderate to severe pain. My peripheral numbing and tingling isn't painful, but is extremely annoying and sometimes dangerous. Today I was driving to the hema's office and when I went to change gears I couldn't feel my right hand or the stick shift. Kinda scary. The low back and sciatica pain is chronic and often debilitating. On a scale of 1 -10 (no pain to unbearable), I range chronically from a 6 to 10. The Avinza keeps me fairly stable at about 7 or 8, depending on the time of day, weather/atmospheric pressure, daily activities, etc. Best regards, Patty A **************It's only a deal if it's where you want to go.
