Guest guest
Dear Jessie, EMG stands for Electomyogram. (The test is called electromyography.) It is the graphic record of resting and voluntary muscle activity as a result of electrical stimulation, or, the recording and study of the intrinsic electrical properties of skeletal muscle. This is pretty much straight out of medical dictionaries. Hope it helps. Guest guest
For those of you who asked what EMG stands for it is " Electromyography " otherwise known as chinese torture device. LOL Let's just say, I don't think I would let them do it again. Guest guest
He said to not go in there nervous. It will make it worse than it is. You're doing what you have to do to get yourself back on track. I know it's a lot to ask while you're on treatment but if they can settle part of this down for you it will be that much easier. Take lots of water with you. Have a glass NOW. I'll be thinking about you.. let me know when you are done. Promise? Painful or not, I just needed to be prepared. While dealing with tx, cold weather amplifies my Raynalds Symptoms. And what this test is about nerve fibers going into " total melt down " it's exactly like shingles nerve fibers burning, except without the shingles! You can draw a vertical line down the side of my torso and all the front would be burning. Legs & arms too. And it has been rapidly incresing in intensity and is about every 3-5 miniutes now. I know going into tx with these other issues has made tx more difficult, but these issues may be around forever, so " you do what you gotta do " .
