Guest guest
The fascia is a thin coating, like a skin, around the muscles, tendons, ligaments, organs, etc. It can tighten up similar to how your muscles contract and tense. When it is tight, it causes pain and stiffness. Myofascial release therapy is a special massage to the fascia relax. In relaxing the fascia, a decrease in pain and stiffness should follow. I used to have very tight muscles all up and down my spine (I had a Harrington rod fusion in 1975). My back hurt constantly from the tight muscles. I started seeing a massage therapist three years ago and I have a much different back now! My muscles are not in a constant tensed state and therefore, there has been a significant reduction in pain. Your muscles and such are being relaxed and therefore you probably can stand a little straighter. Myofascial release will not fix your flatback but it can certainly reduce the muscle spasms and tension in the affected area. Peggy Greene jpgreene@... Guest guest
THANK you . I think we all can say we were ABSOLUTLY TOTALLY sick and tired of him. I think he was trying to ruin this group. Why, I have no idea. It is a great group. in NH. Guest guest
Yeah for banning Dave- he took away the sense of safety from the group. Disgruntled salesperson, man w issues w his mother, who knows, but an intigator no doubt. He is good at it, gotta admit that. Guest guest
Thank you Mark. I appreciate your compliment. It's been a crazy hectic year for me, but things are finally starting to settle down. I'll do my best to be more involved again. Glad to see you are still on here! --- Babbitt From: Dave <dj7510@...> Subject: Myofascial Release Therapy spinal problems Date: Saturday, January 15, 2011, 3:41 PM Just curious , has anyone tried it ? dave
Guest guest
You are welcome . I apologize for not being around and having it go on as long as it did. If you remember, I became a moderator of this group because of a lack of leadership or ability to be involved, from the other two moderators. We all have busy lives and they just needed some help. I'll try to remain more involved from now on. --- Babbitt From: Dave <dj7510@...> Subject: Myofascial Release Therapy spinal problems Date: Saturday, January 15, 2011, 3:41 PM Just curious , has anyone tried it ? dave
Guest guest
Agreed...it was so difficult to sort through his many posts and find anyone else contribuiting that I was discouraged from posting.
