I have not had an IV w any injection-3 or 4 were fine, all done by

since an MRI hadn't been done in a year that theybmight have punctured my

disc and the annular sac based on degree of pain and later MRI showing huge

herniation and tear. I was jumping off the table in pain and was white,

nauseous, and dizzy it hurt so bad..so....

At my clinic (university of Utah orthopedic center) which is well

-respected and which they do these every day, the assumption is no IV (u have

to

ask and no warnings re food intake).

Don't know if that helps but...

Take care,

The only time I had an IV was when I had the radio frequency nueropathy. other

than that, They just numbed the area and did the injections . I have had both

neck and lumbar spine injections .

Injections were done by a pain management DR ,with a flouroscope  XRay.
