Sharon and all!

When I read your posting to Fran, it really hit home. I, like you, was

very active at all stages of my life. I never sat still and I was involved

in many clubs, groups, school, church etc. I stayed fully active despite

kidney stones, two back surgeries, heart problems, by-pass, etc. A true

" type A " personality. When I had my big MI in June of 97, it took its tool.

Now I am 55 years old and like you I am very tired. Even though I know my

tiredness comes from the meds and low heart output, I still have memories

of my past and it is hard to accept the limitations we have now. It is

just human nature for us to feel that way. Most of us wish we could be the

way we were. But here we are, and who knows we may live to see miracles

done through our faith in God or the findings of new procedures by the

Medical profession.

When our daughter was in high school we sponsored exchange students from

Scandanavia. One of " our " kids was a boy from Denmark who gave us a plaque

with a wonderful verse on it. It is as follows:

DO REMEMBER - to forget

anger, worry and regret.

Love while you've got love to give

Live while you've got life to live.

Piet Heim

The first line of the poem says it all. I am thankful for all that I have

had in the past. I don't feel cheated about that. But we all have an

inner drive to want to live forever, so we worry about our present and

future self. I think we will all be OK.

Dear Ruth, How do you keep yourself busy and what do you do if you get

zapped how do you handle it. If I can ask are you allowed to drive? Please

I seem to keep quite busy. I don't babysit the grandchildren regulary but

they i usually have them a half a day every week, I volunteer at the local

hospital for 3 hours every other week. I have a lot of friends, we make

crafts, I have a lot of church friends to do things with. And I am

divorced and now have a mail friend. He comes to visit me on weekends.

We really enjoy each others company but don't think I ever want to get

married again. Bad marriage.

I have luckily never been zapped yet. I am very thankful because I think

if I get zapped that will be a whole new thing to adjust to. I hear all

the stories on here and it must be scary to think another can come at

anytime. I am allowed to drive now. I wasn't allowed to drive for 6

months after I was implanted. I hated that.

Sometimes I just get too busy. Somedays I just wish I had nothing to do.

Do you get bored? I help out with church things too.

Hi Ellen and Welcome to the list!

I love your site.... I've been wanting to do up a site with those retro

graphics for my sister and her many many recipes.

Your soap names are great too! Joe Moma is a nickname my son has for me!

I think you'll find us to be out of the norm for soap lists. We like to chat

soap of course, but feel free to kick your shoes off and talk about other

things as well.

Not soon enough to suit me, Dee. I am one of three people in our house sick

right now...we have two, count 'em two, viruses going through. I'm just

hoping the 4yo doesn't get sick, or at least doesn't get sick till I'm well.

Hi Patti & Welcome to the group!

Bob told me he had met someone from NY at the conference, but I never

met you. (So many people & not enough time!) I live in

Baldwinsville, but will soon be moving to SC. That was my first time

attending a conference that far away & I thought it was wonderful!

Glad you could make it to our group. And please do tell what the

Notebook is. I heard a few folks talking about it at the conference,

but never got a chance to ask them about it. Thanks!
