Guest guest
This is exactly what I fear as my daughter gets older. Her blood work which is a liver panel they call it has not been normal for many years. She took major doses since seh was only 3 when the doctor assured me that she was safe the drug wouldn't her. There was a U.S. Senator a few years back who took 2 extra strength Tylenols for a headache and 3 days later was getting a liver transplant. I just can't put a lot of faith into this drug that I have trusted for many years. Guest guest
I'm going to be honest here...I'm tired of all the scares on drugs that have been proved to be used safely when used acording to label. If they really do pull tylenol it will be a huge loss and I will become disabled because of my migraines (I take Excedrine and it is the only thing besides injections that work). If people would just read lables and not mix with alchohol or other drugs like narcotics that usually also contain acetaminiphen then people would not be dying or getting liver damage. This is how we lost over the counter cold medicines for our children and I just now lost Maalox Total because people were too stupid to read the label and see it was not the same ingrediants and Maalox Advanced. I assure you, I know how to take medications safely...have been doing so for years and know how to read a PDR for interactions. Guest guest
I can assure you I never gave my daughter any more of the Tylenol than her doctor prescribed. He can't be blamed either he didn't know at the time what Tylenol could do to her. No one has migranes as bad as she does since she was only 2 years old and she is taking Alleve a lot. No prescription drug has ever helped her so she doesn't bother to ask the doctor for any more meds. If you want to take it go right ahead but please don't presume they are safe as the past year they have come out with many studies telling us how dangerous they can be. Guest guest
Yeah, I know they keep coming up with new studies and information, yet they still have even more dangerous drugs out there that they have not pulled yet that bring the pharmacutical companies in money. I guess the best we can do is be informed patients and make the best decisions we can. But it can be so frustrating when they pull drugs that I've been using for years without problems.
