Hi to all

I went back to my Pain mangement Dr, this week, I have now decided to go ahead

an get this Injection " Sacrum " area ie tailbone area. To try to get rid of this

pain.

I spoke with this Dr Assitant regarding this Injection, while waiting on the Dr.

I asked her, if I would be able to drive home after, she said no, as they put a

I.V. in just in case????

O.K. Doctor enters room, and said that this procedure will be done in a

Hospital, and I " yes I " have to FLATELY REFUSE an I.V. - don't agree for

this???? - I was in so much pain when I saw him, kinda like I'm at the end of

the road. So - this Dr wants me to go to the Hospital - and then argue with the

Nurses about getting an I.V.

He then went on to say that when the Hospital phone me, don't take any notice of

what they say, ie NO FOOD or FLUID, he said don't listen, you can have your

breakfast etc????

I was in shocked, an I guess thats why I didn't ask WHY? I guess when you feel

so bad you are vunerable to these Doctors.

I was wanting to know , has any members had this procedure done without I.V.???

I, don't have a good history with medications, and I would of thought that

having an I.V. would be in mine and his best interest. So I guess he wants me to

refuse, and if anything goes wrong - sorry - I have signed the form.

I nearly lost my life to an operation in 2007 (not back related) and every day

is a blessing that I am still here.

Any thoughts from members.... please advise!!!!!

I have a feeling its a RED FLAG warning, I am on Workers Compensation, and, I

would think that they also would want this procedure going forwarded in the best

safety for me???

Thanks
