Guest guest
Hi , Yes, I have had tried many different muscle relaxers & almost very available pain med. Back in 1999, I had a double discetomy on c-4 & c5 resulting in 60% loss of nerve activity in my left arm. Now its my sacroiliac. I have just started filling out my SS disability form. I had to resign my job as a Social Services Eligibility worker in October and now I live w/my mother and 2 sons. I have started seeing a psychiatrist because I have become seriously depress and losing my will and interest in living. One day at time . There are times you can go to a specialist and be told there is 'nothing' wrong. Your pain tells you otherwise, and pain doesn't lie. Have you tried keeping a pain journal? Have you altered your daily activities to ease the things that trigger/intensify the pain? It takes a while to figue it out, but there is a combination of meds, therapy, rest, exercise that will combine to manage your pain. There is always a reason for chronic pain, I know some folks who waited years for a Dx that started effective treatment. Chronic pain is life changing. You need to be aggressive in seeking help. A couple of places to look for info: http://www.remedyfind.com/index.asp http://www.caudaequina.org/ http://www.bergenpain.com/index.htm I hope some of this helps.
