I ended up sending my personal copy of my imaging directly to my orthopod...got

to his office within 24 hours.

We just finished going over the images. After almost 2 years of dealing with

dunces and dummies, I finally have had my back injury assessed.

I'm not getting worse, and I could feasibly get somewhat better, but can not get

fixed like brand new, and I probably should just trike my motorcycle.

L5 vertebra was compression fractured along with both L5 transverse processes

being fractured and ligaments likely no longer attached to either process. There

is a loss of the spacer effect(what is that?). There appears to be no spinal

cord damage, and no disc slippage. Physical therapy (muscle strengthening) and

external stabilization (corset) should do much more for me than anything else.

Internal stabilization might be of help, but there is more of a chance it would

make things worse. If PT, et al, are of no benefit, we can explore this further.

Doc wants me to keep him updated regularly on my progress.

Not what I wanted to hear, but it is what it is, AND there is potential for

improvement, but not 100%. It really could have been much worse, and I'm very

glad it isn't.

Onward and upward...
