Misinformation regarding sacroiliac injection

I suffer from arachnoiditis. I went to a new pain management doctor last week.

After examining me he suspected that in addition to arachnoiditis I may also

have sacroiliac dysfunction and it sounds plausible to me. I have done

exhaustive research on arachnoiditis and also researched S-I dysfunction and

injections. I am going to be scheduled for the S-I injection in two weeks and am

not concerned that this will impact the arachnoiditis. I will never have another

epidural, I had immediate and severe pain and in my ignorance agreed to have the

second epidural. I had an MRI after the second epidural and it showed evidence

of arachnoiditis. I now know that any injection in the epidural space will

more than likely cause more scar tissue. I have had lumbar facet injections

that did not breach my sacred epidural space and the S-I injection is

essentially a facet injection in the space between the sacrum and pelvis. As we

all know, all procedures have possible complications but in this case

arachnoiditis is not one of them in my humble opinion. I'll let you know how it

goes.
