Guest guest
and we started the appeals process to get my surgery approved as quick as possible. Once my insurance (Tricare) gets the faxed info then they have 30 days to give me an answer. We also talked about the pain that is spreading in my back and down my leg. He says that the increased pain in my back is a combo of the DDD and the arthritis and the pain will continue to get worse until something is done to stop the DDD from destroying what is left of my 2 discs that are affected most by it. He feels that the pain in my left leg that is getting worse is due to the imbalanced chemicals in my body since the discogram showed that there was no herniation of any of the discs which means there is no nerve being pinched. He said alot of the pain I am experiencing in my leg is due to lots of inflamation along my spine that is refusing to be treated by meds. I have been taking hydroco/apap 7.5-750 6-7 pills a day and now he has put me on endocet, generic for percocet 10-650 mgs 3x a day as needed for the pain that the hydroco is not touching. I am also on carisoprodol generic for soma 350 mgs 2x a day. He does not want me increasing the Soma at all. Celebrex 200 mgs 2x a day, this is for the inflamation, so I need to call the nurologist in the morning and see if I can increase that from twice a day to possibly 3 or 4 a day to help with the inflamation. I am also on amitriptylin 100 mgs at bedtime for tension headaches, fioricet 50-325-40 mgs 1 every 12 hours also for tension headaches along with fexofenadine 180 mgs once a day also for tension headaches. I am also on xanax .5 mgs every other night for anxiety. All these drugs I have to take everyday and its all cuz of my back. This does not include the 2 drugs for my high blood pressure and the 2 drugs for my diabetes. After having my blood sugar numbers under good control they are now out of control again and its all cuz of the stress of all my pain and now this mess with my insurance. I got put back on the diet pill that I was put on to help suppress my apetite so i could lose some weight before surgery. I managed to lose 16 pounds so far. That is the latest info I have to give. I will keep you guys posted as I go through the appeals process. in Utah
