I was wondering if anyone else here has had this problem, I over did it

yesterday and was on my feet to much, today I can't walk heal to toe at all, in

fact I can hardly walk. My back hurts enough that I have been taking extra pain

medication since last night, my back and feet still hurt terribly, but more

concerning to me is how my feet aren't functioning right from the walking I did,

I can not walk heal to toe, I am walking with my feet going straight down, so

I'm wondering if my reflexes will show this? I already know I won't be able to

get into see the nurologist I see, or any other doctor without more notice, so

I'm wondering if this warrents a visit to the ER? I hate ER's but need to know

once and for all if my walking is affecting the reflexes in my feet?

Any feed back will be appreciated.

Ilene give it a couple of days to work itself out. The E. R. won't do anything

for you except tell you to see your regular doctor. Time heals many things.

I'd probably give it a day or so and see if it improves, to see if it

was overexertion. But you may want to call your neurologist or other

doctor and ask their advice. There is usually a nurse line you can

leave a message on and someone will ask the doctor your question and get

back to you within the business day.

The ER will not do diddly squat for you. For the most part, I find they think

most of my problems are in my head. And if I am having a severe 'pain event',

they tell me a couple advil should do the trick... Not their fault though, they

have to be careful. Somebody might misuse the meds and sue them...

Things probably swelled up in your feet and legs. Take an anti-inflammatory like

aspirin, as long as it is something that you can use with your other meds. A

nice HOT bath, with maybe some Epsom salts in there will do wonders (glass of

wine on the edge of the tub... few candles, doesn't hurt either...). You can buy

a whirl pool like thing in K Mart, to blow bubbles in there. A Jacuzzi would be

the best. Unfortunately I do not have one, although I keep asking Santa Clause

for one... :( Keep your feet up too. Let the swelling go down.
