Guest guest
Hi, i had a C5-6 fusion in 2006 relating to a work accident. they had diagnosed me with 3 herniations, 3 bulges and one unaffected disk, and due to a series of side-affects they decided the best bet was a fusion at c5-6. Most of the symptoms ended almost as soon as i woke up from surgery, however i have almost never had pain relief. My first pain management doctor had me on as many as 10 scripts at a time, and it did little beside make me mentally non-functional - especially combined with my physical issues. my current pain doctor has me on only two scripts + a pain patch, and when i first started on the current plan, i was going great for the first time in years, and even back to work full time. the beginning of april i got t-boned when a moron fell asleep at the wheel and ran a red light, and have been in agony since. My chiropractor is saying i have a few minor but fixable problems in the lower back, but my spine doctor said i have 3 herniations and 4 bulges in my lower back, (im guessing the entire lumbar section must be out of wack but i dont know the specifics yet). I really like and trust the chiro, but i dont know which one might be right. i also have issues with the spine doc because he is always pushing me to go to services he has a financial interest in, and some of these groups have had bad reps. The spine doc called and wants to do an epidural in the lower back, but i had poor experience with them in my neck. Do i do the Epi or not? What about the concern over now having 12 points with problems in my back. . . is it DDD or just a result of getting beat senseless between two injuries? Does onyone know a good doctor in the Western New York Area that they can recomend - preferable one who takes Workers comp and or no fault? Also, does anyone know a good pain reliever that will alow me to keep my faculties so i can return to teaching. i am only 37 years old and dont want to be an invalid! Sorry such a long post, thanks for any advice!
Guest guest
Gosh , Sorry to hear about all of these bad things happening to you. I'm not qualified to offer any advice but I do hope that the sleepy driver had good insurance.
