Guest guest
Those side effects sound very familiar. I had most of them when I was on Prednisone. Sure, that stuff helps us to breathe but the side effects are horrible!!! If it was not for Xolair, I would still be Type II diabetic, overweight and needing more surgery for bone loss. In 1998 and 2006, I had two surgeries to fuse 4 disks in my neck due to disk degeneration. Also, cataract surgery in both eyes when I was in my 40's. Years of Prednisone and countless Depo Medrol shots are to blame. (Depo Medrol is a form of Prednisone) Yes, everyone reacts differently. It is my prayer that you will results as good as most of us in this group have. Talk to your doctor! Don't be afraid to ask him/her hard questions. This is your health!!! As have mentioned before, I almost stopped taking Xolair after about 6 months because I did not see any results. My doctor advised me to STAY THE COURSE and I am glad that I did. For me, Xolair has been a miracle drug and has saved my life. Doug Group founder On Xolair for over 3.5 years
Guest guest
Hi Anita, I received my 5th Shots last week. I always feel tired for about 24 hours after I get the shot. I have been told that this is normal. Kristy From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of dahiya Sent: Sunday, December 16, 2007 7:29 PM Subject: [ ] Side effects After my first shot of xolair on last Monday, I still feel my head heavy and my energy level gone down than before. Any one else feel the same type of side effects? Please let me know. Thanks, Anita
Guest guest
That's interesting and I'm curios - who told you it was normal to be tired after the Xolair injection? When I started in March, after the first shot, I slept like the dead for about the first day. After that I didn't notice so much - at the most a few seconds of dizziness or an odd feeling. I sort've write off the first shot to anxiety but perhaps it was the new chemical in my body. --- In , " Kristy Lynn " <makklynn5@...> wrote: > > Hi Anita, > > I received my 5th Shots last week. I felt like I had the flu for 4 days afterward and still feel really tired. I have heard this is faily common. Hope you feel better! I get my next shot on 12/26 and I hope it goes better than this one. Thanks! Liz
Guest guest
You can draw the Xolair up with the 18-gauge and then change the needle to the 25-gauge in order to inject. They should have explained this to you. And if they don't respond to your request for something you need, ask your doctor's office to give the pharmacy an order stating what you need. Guest guest
I use to self inject. My specialty farmacy was Tel Drug. They sent me a " sharps kit " , which included two 18 gague needles, two 25, plus the seringes, alcohol swabs and ONE band aid. HELLO!??!?! What I would do is mixand draw with the 18 gague. Then switch to the 25 gague, after the med was mixed to inject. Much easier and less painless having the smaller needle go in! (remember the LOWER the gague the Larger the needle size!) foot note re: side efect. About 3 months or so back I posted the side effects listing that came directly from the inside label. Anyone who is interested in reading that might want to search the groups archives. That info can also be found on the FDA's website. --- tiredofsteroids <sitesee@...> wrote: > You can draw the Xolair up with the 18-gauge and > then change the > needle to the 25-gauge in order to inject.
