I do still need my inhaler every now and then but not nearly as much as I normally did this time of year. Although the doctor's office's intention is only to cover their butts, if your insurance company requests office records, as often is the case, they will see the AMA notation in the office note. Then the possible dire consequences other group members have described may well play out. IMHO you're risking an awful lot to go that route. Remember doesn't matter what they say, if you have nothing on paper for an appeals process. Nan--->hospital matra, if it wasn't written down, it never happened.
