Guest guest
This is an interesting question as I've wondered if long years of gluccocorticoids (evil candy) aren't at least partly responsible for mitral valve regurgitation, enlarged heart, and minor calcification of mitral valve. My blood pressure is very high in doc's office. In reading about prednisone (and this probably applies to the other gluccocorticoids too), one of the side effects listed is hypertension and fluid retention. I could see fluid retention as causing increased blood pressure. Hypertension can lead to heart damage (at least that's what one cardio told me) and the fluid retention I thought also put a burden on the heart although it might be indirect. What do you mean by heart effects? I am unsure of any heart-related side effects of prednisone (
