I was weened off pred too quickly after 8 months of

use and my adrenal glands shut down. Low blood sugar,

blood pressure,rapid heart beat, extreme weakness,

shortness of breath, sweating and fatigue were the

result. It took months with an endocrinologist to

" wake them up " . You adrenals do shut down with prolong

use of steroids.
