- there are several success stories posted in the " files "

section to the left, as well as a FAQ.

I LOVE XOLAIR. It has made an incredible difference in my asthma

outcomes, my allergic rhinitis/sinusitis and in my overall energy level.

Good luck to you and your husband, and welcome to the group.

, have your physicians office contact Genentech about their programs to

help with copay assist or even to get free drug. SPOC (single point of contact)

will help.

I spoke with a woman this weekend who told us she about her life. She had 5

children, never could go outside and play with her children, worked 12 hours

overnight while her husband was home with the children and had to quit working

because she couldn't walk up and down the long hallways because of her asthma

that actually was misdiagnosed until she was 42. Now she is 50, on xolair,

chasing her grandchildren, and flying around the country telling her story.

With all of the prednisone she had to take, she was over 400 pounds. After

Xolair she was able to be off steroids and well enough to have bariatric surgery

(stomach stapling kind of surgery). She has lost 120 pounds so far and feels

better than she has felt her whole life. She also told us that when her

physician asked " so, how are you? " She always said " OK " even when she wasn't

because she didn't want to appear to be whining or " a baby, especially because I

am a nurse " . So, my advice to everyone is always tell

the complete truth or your physician can't help you!

Good luck to your husband, you'll be surprised by how much better his and your

quality of life will be!
