Guest guest
While I had a few incidents of asthma when a child and a young adult, over the counter inhaler was all I needed to stop the attack right away. But when I hit 48--and at the same time began going into menopause (sorry guys), my asthma hit with a vengeance. But I think there were a number of factors as well as the hormonal changes my body was going through. That year was a horrific year for mold and cold, I was teaching in a portable that was full of mildew and mold according to the A/C repair man, and my sister had died the previous November at age 45 from heart failure (years of asthma medicine and strong medicines used to revive her when her lungs collapsed during surgery had weakened her heart and it just gave out.) When I asked my doc about the connection between the hormonal changes and the onset of the mildly severe persistent asthma, he just kinda laughed. But later I read someone was researching the idea that hormonal changes might also have something to do with adult onset asthma! Haven't seen anything recently, though. And don't think my treatment would have necessarily been any different. My 2 cents worth. And this message has been brought to you from San where the sun spends the winter and winter comes to visit during the spring! (It's 34 and getting colder--forecast for snow here--on Easter Sunday morning yet! Unbelievable!) Hope all of you stay warm as I know it is probably much colder where many of you live! Guest guest
LOL! I don't think so. Unless you consider NY to be part of Canada. --- pyle456 <coachmac@...> wrote: > Aunt Flo???? Guest guest
Thanks Addy, That's why I wanted to revisit this subject. My original " instructions " were a little to aggressive, according to Pat and Pat's instructions makes sense. I'm following your lead, more but less. This is why I follow this site daily, things, opinions, and memories change and I need to stay on top of it from reliable sources. I'm not going back to the Dr.'s office either, if they try to make me I'll assume the fetal position in their office, cry, snot, and snivel, and make everyone's life miserable!
