Guest guest
Aunt Flo???? Is that a Canadian term? > > It is not uncommon for Aunt Flo to wreck havoc to el pulmones. If the box says arm or leg, it is likely that they only tested in those sites. All subcue sites absorb injectioned medications (although at slightly variable rates). > > > > ps This is my 2 cents as an RN. I've been injecting into the pred flab for 2 yrs. Guest guest
I have been self injecting for 1 1/2 years and thought I should " revisit " information about injecting. The first link is to a Xolair site that states you can inject Xolair anyplace subcutaneous injections are given, the second link talks about where to inject subcutaneously. After reading these sites, again, I have to move my stomach injection closer to my bellybutton (did I tell you I do not like sticking needles in myself! LOL). http://www.xolair.com/hcp/ preparation_administration.jsp#selecting_the_injection_site http://www.clinimmsoc.org/teaching/downloads/subcutaneous_injections.pdf On Apr 7, 2007, at 3:55 PM, wrote: > It is not uncommon for Aunt Flo to wreck havoc to el pulmones. > Perhaps going on the pill may help. > > I inject into the subcutaneous tissue (flab) around my belly- > button. Guest guest
Ron, The instructions I got re self-injecting over 3 years ago are not exactly what the site says now. For instance, I was swirling more, which Pat says can cause the kind of protein breakdown that could lead to a reaction, but if I swirl according to the directions at the site, the contents of the vials doesn't end up as described. I called my Xolair nurse who said that I should swirl more frequently than the site said, but not as frequently as I'd been doing before. SOOOO, I think I'm gonna get a mixing machine soon. At any rate, I'm not going back to the doctor's office until or unless BCBS says I have to. Addy Group co-owner All opinions are my own, except the ones I force on my own co- dependent family. > > > It is not uncommon for Aunt Flo to wreck havoc to el pulmones. > > Perhaps going on the pill may help. > > > > I inject into the subcutaneous tissue (flab) around my belly- > > button.
