I feel like it is totally worth it! My son has had a

3mm change in just two weeks. Any doubts I had

disappeared when we got that news. You get used to it

and it does not bother the babies at all! The only

negative so far is the fact that he had a reaction to

it in the beginning. Good luck in your decision.

We originally thought we would have to pay for both of na's DOC bands out of pocket - $6000. In fact we didn't get our refund until 2 months after she graduated. At $6000 I thought it was money well spent! I would do it all over again. She had some odd angles due to intrauterine constraint complicated by tort and repo was having no effect.

PS we ended up only paying $40 - insurance appeals are worth all of the trouble.jeanhoyt <jeanhoyt@...> wrote:

I am 100% happy that we banded my beautiful daughter. I would do it again with no hesitation. The plusses are that her head is a normal shape and I know I did everything I could. Also the band saved us from some bumps! :) THe only negatives were the 10 hour round trips to Dallas and the smell of a sweaty band. It was TOTALLY worth it!

Hello,

My wife was on Xolair for about 2 months or so and her condition

seemed to improve a fair but subjective amount. We had to switch

insurance and we are finding out that our co-pay will be $250 for a

3-month supply ($83/month) or $150 for a 1-month supply (regardless of

dosage). Our specialty pharmacy is Caremark. Not sure what

additional costs may be for having the injections at the doctor's

office; I think they were billed as allergy shot injections under our

old insurance.. hopefully that won't change.

We are trying to decide if it's worth nearly $90/month for her to be

on Xolair. We certainly don't want her to be as healthy as possible,

yet at the same time $90/month isn't " chump change " .

I'd like any suggestions on how we should go about making this decision.

Best regards,
